The first edition of the IFFCC in 2023 became a notable cultural event. It attracted the attention of conductors from various countries and generated significant professional interest. The competition earned a respectable place in the cultural life of Hungary and opened new prospects for emerging maestros.
Prizes from the first edition of the IFFCC included guest conducting engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Leipzig Symphony Orchestra, Mainz State Philharmonic Orchestra, Hungarian National Symphony Orchestra Szeged, Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and Filarmonica Oltenia Craiova.
The jury panel for the first edition of the IFFCC included Hermann Bäumer, Sándor Gyüdi, Constantine Orbelian, Vasily Petrenko, Thomas Sanderling, and Ewa Strusińska.
